WESLY SERVING AT FOOD FOR LANE COUNTY

WESLEY STUDENTS AND FRIENDS had a three hour service project last night at Food for Lane County. We gathered at the Wesley Center, welcomed new friends, then loaded up and headed out to the FFLC Kitchen. We sorted restaurant donations, can, dry goods, washed and dried containers and boxed up the food to be sent out. It was a lot of of work but the students performed with great attitudes and a speed that impressed the FFLC folks. This week Lane County; next week the world - FEED THE HUNGRY FOLKS!

Take the OATH

Last Night, at Fair Trade Fellowship,
Roxy told the group about some of the causes and tragedies involved in human trafficking. It was a very difficult subject to talk about due to the violence and inhumanity.
Roxy told us about OATH Oregonians Agents Trafficking Humans an organization that challenges everyone to take the oath to spread awareness.

Here is the link to OATH to take the pledge: http://159.121.4.213/ohttft/oath.html
Also, a reminder to those who are interested: Every Friday @ 4pm in Friendly hall room 106 Slavery Still Exists holds their weekly meeting.
Thanks, Roxy - and thank you, reader, in advance for taking the OATH . . . .
